Independent public information
CountyBurnBan is not a government agency, fire department, county office, or emergency service. It reports information from identified official sources and links residents back to those sources.
CountyBurnBan does not issue or lift burn-ban orders and does not decide whether burning is permitted or safe at an address or property.
What CountyBurnBan checks
CountyBurnBan currently checks statewide public information for Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, and California. State pages show every county or parish covered by the official source, and each local page keeps the source name and last checked time beside the answer.
The source is checked throughout the day. If a current update cannot be confirmed, the site says so instead of showing an old answer as current. Washington and Montana information remains outside the searchable index while its source coverage is still being reviewed.
What a county result covers
A county result does not establish the rules for a city, fire district, public land, Tribal land, environmental program, federal area, or individual property. Residents should check every authority that applies before burning.
Some states publish one countywide list. Others, including California, publish jurisdiction-specific residential burn information. CountyBurnBan keeps those differences visible rather than turning unlike records into one simplified national answer.
How corrections are handled
Official agencies remain the authority. If a CountyBurnBan page is outdated, unclear, or linked to the wrong public source, residents can report the page through the corrections link shown in the site footer.
A correction changes CountyBurnBan's presentation only. It cannot issue, change, or cancel a government order.
